Its Aerocore in-mold construction keeps things ever so lightweight and an integrated skeletal structure ensures a full range of protection should you suffer an unexpected fall from the bike. For those that ride aggressively, the ventilated protection and 20 optimised vents work to maximise the flow of air around your head, keeping you free of sweat as loam is kicked up behind.

If the summer sun greets your ride, the Forefront 2 Helmet can call upon an X-static with reactive cooling performance lining to keep you fresh, working in tandem with the ultra-light single layer webbing and AirEvac ventilation to ensure you don’t overheat. Increased protection to the back of the head has also become a priority for Smith, and this is proved by the addition of extra Koroyd, the patented material crammed in to ramp up safety levels.

Customised Comfort

Protection certainly reigns supreme, but the customisation and comfort of the Smith Forefront 2 knows no bounds. The visor can be easily adjusted in three steps to provide the perfect fit for your goggles or sunglasses, with the integration process easier than nailing your favourite berm. Should you wish to film those tricks then you can add a camera and light mount to your helmet (sold separately) while the airflow to your lenses has been specially adjusted to avoid fogging.
