Keeping you mountain biking comfortably and safely all day, the Axion SPIN Helmet makes use of numerous POC safety technology to keep you protected when you hit the dirt. The fully wrapped unibody shell provides structural integrity and this extends around the temples and back of the head for protection no matter which way you fall. Inside is POC’s patent-pending SPIN (Shearing Pad INside) technology, engineered to lessen the effects of rotational forces on the head. Lastly, the breakaway peak, also patent-pending, is designed to snap away in an impact, thereby minimising forces acting on the neck.
In order to keep the Axion SPIN in place, you’ll find POC’s 360° fit system. This offers an easy-to-operate and precise fit, ensuring your Axion remains comfortable when riding and stays securely in place in the event of a crash. With large intake and exhaust vents, you can also be confident of a cool head as your mountain bike ride hots up.
SPIN (Shearing Pad INside)
Unlike most of its rivals who deploy the MIPS technology, POC has created their very own protective system known as SPIN. This patent-pending rotational impact protection system works to reduce the effects of an oblique fall by limiting the amount of force transmitted to the head and brain. Using an innovative and unique silicone pad technology to keep you safe you'll be protected from unexpected falls and install a new level of confidence as you ride.
