A quick turn forward tightens the shoe and turn back to loosen, you can adjust on the fly, giving a custom fit for climbs, descents and changes in weather as feet swell with heat. Thanks to the dual dials and 4 guides per reel you'll quickly and easily get a comfortable and personalised fit across the upper with no pressure points to worry about. The laser drilled upper and vented tongue keep sweat at bay, preventing hot spots during long hard rides.

Gaerne has also optimised comfort inside the shoe, the EPS Comfort Insole supporting the foot as you put pressure on the pedals, and with a perforated finish, it allows air circulation for freshness when the heat is on. Meanwhile, TSS technology (Tarsal Support System) positions the foot perfectly inside the shoe, ensuring a smooth and fluid pedal stroke. 

To the rear, an injection-moulded carbon heel cup is anatomically shaped and will not deform or weaken, keeping your foot perfectly stable as you tackle technical terrain. Inside the non-slip, anti-tendonitis shaping offers incredible comfort no matter how rough the ride.

Designed specifically for the demands of racing and high-speed mountain biking, the EPS Light Weight Carbon Fiber MTB Sole provides stability, stiffness, strength and traction all the while keeping weight to the very minimum. The carbon fibre construction provides unrivalled power transfer while the expertise of Michelin has been used to design a tread which gives maximum traction and durability. The tread pattern features widely spaced lugs to allow mud to clear quickly so clipping in and out isn't compromised and traction is always available. For steep and muddy courses additional traction can be gained by using screw in studs, making the shoe ideal for both cyclocross and mountain biking.
